Reading the reports
Build any breakdown, check the operational pack, and get it by email.
Reading the reports
Report builder (Reports → Report builder)
Pick what to break down by, optionally split it a second way, and choose your
measures. Anything you can ask, you can export as CSV or Excel.
Some combinations are refused on purpose. "Net sales by category" is one of
them: an order's total belongs to the order, not to any one line, so
splitting it by category would count the same money once per line. Ask for
_item sales_ by category instead — that is a line-level number and it adds up.
Operations (Reports → Operations)
Speed of service, voids and returns, tills, business days, tips, drawer
movements, the activity log, and a live view of every branch today.
Speed of service only averages timings that make sense: an order that never
reached a stage is left out of that stage rather than counted as zero.
Getting them by email
Reports → Operations → Scheduled emails. A daily report covers yesterday and a
weekly one the last seven completed days — today is still trading, so it is
never included. If the server restarts during the hour a report was due, it
still sends later that day rather than skipping it.
